New World Spanish tasting. Tasted over five hours. Lots of very nice red fruit. Balanced, aging well, drinking well now. Lots of flavor and complexity for the money.

2006 Spanish Horizontal - Bodegas Numanthia, El Nido & AALTO (Asheville, NC): Always surprising good QPR. Hangs with the rest of the Numanthia line up, zero problem. Aromatic, still red fruit dominated, similar to the other Numanthia wines just less tannic. Raspberry. Showing its age more than the other wines, but not over the hill.
dark fruit aromas, blackberries, coffee. On the palette, low acidity, full bodied, fruit forward with blackberries, some licorice and coffee notes. lingering finish-
Drinking really well right now. No need to air.
Big nose- earth, blackberries meat. On the palette, juicy blackberries, midpalette cinnamon and lingering finish with a pop of pepper. Also notes of meat and leather on the palette.
