From magnum. Pale yellow colour. Classic slippery Chablis mouthfeel but so precise too. This baby has barely started to walk yet! Smoky, cold rolled steel notes with plenty of refreshing salinity. An awesome wine in the making and will still be great in another 30 years plus in this format.
Light yellow with a tinge of green. Very muted aromatics when opened, such that we aerated and warmed it a little. After that, the wine developed very pleasing mineral and lemon peel and some spice notes, with beeswax coming later. On the palate, we finally got more classic Chablis oyster shell and quinine creeping in and the sum effect was an explosion of flavors, lasting forever. A remarkably powerful and young Chablis, in the Raveneau style. I was happy to be sharing this with just one other person, and was sad not to have any more bottles.
