  Brown and murky, soy sauce and stewed fruit on nose, alcohol and not much acid - done.

  Day 1: Color is as dark as night. Hard to believe it's a pinot. Quite a bit of barnyard and Dr. Pepper cola on the nose. The palate is rather heavy with blue and black fruit. The wine is a bit awkward. Day 2: The funk blew off, and the wine tasted better and was smoother. It's still a cola dominated wine.

  Big jammy nose. Roast espresso and a bit of chocolate. Excellent fruity palatte, but all hint of tannins has been resolved. Definitely drink now!

  The initial exotic spicy nose gradually diminished but this had a luscious richness of fruit and texture on the palate, on a big frame with real length. Grand Cru quality in this respect. However, it seemed a bit hot, confirmed by 15% alcohol level on the label, and I looked for more complexity on the palate and finish. Quite youthful and vigorous, so I plan to wait at least a couple of years to open my other bottle. Nicely done.
