Terrific. A little barnyard-y upon opening but a couple of hours later, full bodied, lots of fruit, some sweetness, very little sense of being almost 20 years old. Still developing?

This was shutdown hard on PnP. I'm in the "Usually don't decant Burgundy" camp so I kept it in bottle (uncorked) and went back to it after 2 hours and it was lights out. The nose was out of this world - smoky, dried cherry, sous bois, turkish coffee. The palate was a treat as well - sweet dried fruit galore. Wonderful!

This wine is coming around nicely. It is open, with some secondary development. Nice dark cherry fruit on the nose and palate. Tannins fairly soft...Better on second day.

A touch reductive to start before yielding to discrete aromas of blue fruit and sous bois. Delicately textured with sweet blue fruit and earth flavors framed by ripe acidity and soft, elegant tannins. Finishes long with suggestions of earth and spice. Le Rognet is from the eastern side of the hill, overlooking Ladoix-Serrigny. I often find this climat produces the prettier side of Corton.
