Integrated oak, darkish red fruit, herbs and spice. Drinking much better than 7 years ago. Potel can be surprising occasionally, but the consistency is always a question mark. 90-91

It opened really flat in the mouth. Over 45 mins of bottle airing, it started to open up with mushroom, dried berry, dates and a bit of spicy. Structured and decent finish. The wine is brick in color. I will drink all my bottles in the next 2 years also.

The nose was wonderful of the first 1-2 hours, very deep and sweet black berries Fruits and spice which indicates this vineyard is capable of producing best quality wines! But than when the fruits faded a bit the unplesant bell peppers or herbal scent took off, I think if the wine maker could have use straighter measures on the sorting and unnecessarily inclusion of stems to push the production, this wine could have been a lot better! As the palate and aftertaste was good but being spoiled by something!

Some green note, grassy, green pepper, wood, red and black fruit on the nose. The palate did not have the greenness though. The palate had some decent pure fruit, but the mid palate was somewhat hollow. Drink now before the greenness intensifies.

(Potel Nicolas Vosne-Romanée Les Gaudichots) Much more depth and density here - this is a grand cru nose. Here is another tight Vosne, but versus all that have gone before, there is an extra creamy density. Only hinting at what’s in the tank, but this will be excellent.

Edward brought this bottle in our 元宵节 gathering, served in bottle among other 8. A typical VR in cold vintage, good nose, sweet, and long after taste.
