Decanted off a fair bit of sediment, then aerated back into bottle. Beautiful nose, classic mature CdP. Very soft on the palate with very faded tannins and acidity. The flavors - wow. Will be drinking the rest over the next couple of years.

Medium to full bodied with dark fruit, meat and a hint of licorice on the nose and palate. Suspect it is at the end of it's prime drinking interval.

Robust structure of tannin and acidity still going, though softening now. The alcohol is prominent, this became more pronounced the longer it was open. The initial blast after pulling the cork was all mature blackberry fruits, with an undertow of farmyard and leather. Long and complex. I think drink now as this was nicer when first opened.
