  • Medium weight ruby red, pale rim.
Gorgeous rich high-toned fragrance, red and black berries, crushed herbs, dark graphite and licorice spice, hints of leather and earth. Beautiful nose.
Medium weight, silky texture, has definitely softened, all the flavours come through from the nose, with a focus on crushed herbs and cassis. There is aged leather notes but in the background. Delicious, will age further.

  • Popped, poured, consumed over next 90 minutes. Started a little rough around the edges, but quickly and continually evolved, integrated and improved in the glass. Fine complexity and balance with a satisfying finish. Did not get barnyard or any other overt markers for brett. Seemed like a pretty clean bottle.

  • 2/3, vg cork. Decanted 1/2 hr.
Immediately open and expressive nose with grilled meat, soil, mineral, mulch and underlying pure bilberry fruit. Florals too. Full bodied, rich, meaty, touch of mulch, mineral, soft tannins, lovely fresh acidity keeps this honest, long, harmonious finish. Excellent, drinking nicely but no need to hurry.

  • Much fresher than the bottle drunk three nights ago, plenty of Mourvèdre fruit, big bodied, but balanced. Cellared since original release.

  • A tribute to Lulu Peyraud, who died today, but not a bottle that did her justice. 14.9% stated alcohol, and this wine is now beginning to slowly break up the way high alcohol wines often do. Rich, smooth, sensual, but lacking precision and beginning to lose what freshness it has. Cellared since original release.
