Gorgeous nose of elegant red fruits and spice. Melange of dark red fruits and oak on the palate, which is smooth elegant and perfect all the way down and followed by a nice long finish. Not overpowering in any way...perfect balance and entering a good drinking window.
2006 red Burgundies are starting to show their generosity, especially when produced by a virtuoso like Eric Rousseau. The wine was outstanding, a mix of red fruits, spice and precious subtle well integrated oak. I've drinked my first bottle of this wine five years ago and I will open my next one after another five years...if I can resist
Drank over 4 days. Very dark fruit, with some spice and minerals on the nose and palate. Very pretty, but still tightly wound. This was best on day 3 but started to fade ever so slightly on day 4. As much as I liked this, there was just an excitement factor missing from this CSJ.
Fantastic !!!! A little closed in the nose at start, but after 5 minutes in the glass came cherry, strawberry in a gentle stream. In the mouth fresh cherry, strawberry and green apple. Overwhelming structure, juicy and pure pampering of your tastebuds. Will still improve through the next 3-5 years. 95 p.
