Another Wine gathering at RJ’s; 4/4/2024-4/7/2024 (Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina): Beautifully mature nose displaying sweet yellow fruit, peach, baked apple, brioche, honey, creme brulee, white pepper, sweet spices and mineral. Excellent concentration, nicely layered generous sweet yellow fruit, rich yet harmonious, fine medium generous mousse, perfect amount of acidity and mineral, and a long sweet yellow fruit driven finish with caramel at the end. Consistent with the last year’s bottle, drinking beautifully.

Oh yes. Light golden color, on the nose multiple aromas of brioche, citrus, caramel and light toast. Very fresh and focused on the palate with creamy layers of mineral, citrus and nutty notes. And again brioche. Vey well matured but still very fresh and in the middle of a long drinking window. Long lingering finish and perfect pairing with garlic shrimps. Fantastic!

Beautiful nose with complex notes of dried flowers, citrus, and brioche. Nice acidity on the palate with lemon notes, orange zest, minerals, and toast. Long finish. This was drinking beautifully and showed plenty of complexity and depth. Like the last time I had the wine a few years ago, it's showing signs of maturity. Fantastic right now, but I'm not sure how this will continue to age...

Calling an Audible (Brad & Marcia's Place, St. Paul, MN): Light gold color. Drank a glass over an hour. It's been a couple years since I've had this. It is still sailing along with nothing to suggest otherwise in the near future. What beauty this is. This is captivating with so much nuance in the aromatics and on the palate. The nose is evocative with gorgeous floral notes and sea breeze, sweet chantilly cream, roasted almonds, Anjou pear, vanilla bean, white peach, toast and brioche, so bright and lively. That palate is focused and precise with the green fruits and stone fruit shining. Lovely presence with a caressing creamy mousse, bright and engaging as this is filled with intensity but buffered by finesse and nuance at every corner. Crystalline minerality that tingles as this goes on and on. Riveting.
