  • Dinner at Gunther's. Lots and lots of buttery oak, I would have guessed new world if it was tasted blind. Only a touch of elegance and the good fresh acid suggested Burgundy. Creamy mouthfeel. Some white fruit, nuts and citrus notes after time, but still very much dominated by the oak. This was saved by the wonderful balance that so many of the 2005 Burgs have.
