  I was worried about this one on opening. There was some seepage, the cork was damp and crumbled on opening. I filtered while decanting and was surprised by the lack of funk right out of the bottle.
  The bouquet was of moderately intensity and reminded me of dark fruit (black cherry & blackberry.) Very little old wine funk from the onset.
  The wine was moderately clear (although I didn't give it any time after removal from my cellar) and had a classic red brick color of an older wine.
  The mouth feel was quite silky and smooth.
  The flavors were of dried fruit (cherry with a touch of cranberry and prune) good acidity and a minerals. There was also a hint of cedar.
  The finish was faded fairly quickly and I would guess it was much longer in its youth.
  Overall still an enjoyable bottle that is past its prime. I'm sure this was an outstanding wine 5-10 years ago.
