A nice and very mature wine. Vintages 1966-1988 and bottles 2001. It still quite sweet with some nice mushrooms. There are however some holes in the taste - you can fill them out with some mild blue cheese like I did. Its time to drink up.

Full-bodied, off-dry, heavy on the oak, exhibiting notes of vanilla, corn syrup, stewed yellow fruits, and wood grain. Was past its prime, though still made for a great pairing with melon. 13.5% ABV.

Nice blend of 15 vintages. Less residual sugars than my usual QdC, but a nice dose of beeswax on matured fruit, with a good amount of acid to balance and carry a long finish. Very nice bottle!

NYE with Cathy. Classic Chenin nose of ginger ale, lanolin, honey, apricot and marzipan. Medium sweet, moderate acidity, slightly warm ginger finish. Medium length. I think this was the best bottle yet.

Very mature bottle, very little sweetness left, some earthy funk with dried fruits and honey. Drink up
