  • Medium brick color. Cherries and dried lavender on the nose. Still has some dark cherry on the palate with some nut and mushroom notes and a bit of bitter cocoa. Still good acid, but the tannins have largely left. Definitely starting to fade, but still good concentration and a great food wine. Had with a mushroom sugo over fettuccine and was perfect.

  • At first a funky nose disappearing within a minute, followed by notes of almonds, cherry cassis. Taste of red fruit, delicate acids and a nice bitter finish. Medium body. A nice marriage of Bordeaux and Chianti (50 sangiovese, 50 merlot/cabernet sauvignon)
