  • Opened & poured. Medium-deep Red just showing a little age on the rim. Nose, having been tight on opening, has really opened up to show ripe cherry with only a hint of sous bois and farmyard. Palate is more forward with dollops of fresh strawberry, lavender, very fine tannins with lots of really integrated fresh acidity - very attractive. A really delightful wine, frankly still quite young. Real class. Drink 2024-32.

  • Decanted 1 hour. Very fresh nose with ripe red cherries. Palate lively and fresh with plenty of ripe acid, very light tannins, ripe cherry fruit. Very much still developing. Came back to the wine 2 hours later to find it had really developed further in the glass taking on weight, depth and power. Drinking magnificently now. Drink 2020-25.

  • Decanted 30 mins. Intense nose of classic Burgundy - truffles, farmyard, roses, redcurrants and cherries. Stunning. Palate is ripe and intense with fine tannins, medium acid balancing the redcurrant fruit. Distinctive notes of roses, violets with chewy truffles. Really wonderful. Drinking wonderfully now but still has a few years ahead - now-2022

  • Musk, graphite, truffle - pretty and lifted but with good complexity at the same time. Medium bodied with good structure through the fine tannins. Drink over the next 10 years. Served next to the 2000 Mazi, they started out similar but the Cazetiers gained over time in the glass. Liked this a lot more than another bottle last year.

  • Translucent ruby, just beginning to brick around the edges. Lovely sweet floral bouquet, with fruity undertones and just a hint of pinot "farmyard" and burnt toast. Purity on the palate, full of fruit - raspberries and redcurrants - slight bitterness on the long finish.
