Very dense. Slight bitterness, dark fruits, coffee. Tanins quite present but not too astringeant. Not as enthousiastic as I was with the Reserva 2007 but still a very interesting wine. Very exstracted, blind I would have gone with a St-Émilion 2009. Nothing subtle here, drink with a huge bloody steak ! Seemed quite young although on day two there was no improvement, rather a slight decline with notes of fortified wine appearing.

- Crimsom color with medium forming legs and aromas of black currant. It's balanced and has flavours of black currant, raisin and burnt toast with a medium/full body. Narrow texture with a long finish - Excellent wine. Nice body to drink with a light dinner. Great aroma and taste. Better after some time in the decanter.

David Bowler Spanish Tasting (Tribecca Grill): this is very modern to my pallate but this is also VERY good. tons of sweet black fruit, richer riper and yet more balanced with a mineral streak. needs time but very good indeed.

I think this was a barrel sample as well. (See note for the '05 Reserva). Features red and purple fruits with a touch of smoke. Elegant. Potentially outstanding quality.

Ruby red with lots of residue. Nose of coffee, butterscotch, and some barnyard. Powerful on the palate, with excellent length.
