The last of my 3 bottles and the best. Needs a long decant to open up, still plenty of astringent tannins even on day two. But the cherry, figs, tea, tar and roses are exquisite. So delicate and powerful at the same time. Long finish. So sad it is gone.

Double decanted then slow ox for 3 hours, then consumed over 2 hours. Elegant structure, round and well integrated. Dried red cherries, raisins, tar, leather and licorice. Nose was shy at first but came out to play after an hour. Slightly hot going down, but not overly so. Some chewy tannin appeared in the 2nd glass, but settled down by the next. Lingering, consistent finish. Absolutely what one would like with a Barbaresco, very nice indeed.

Needs a long decant. On first opening it is very muted, but after several hours roses and leather and tar. So elegant like a Barbaresco should be! Then on day 2 less fruit but still has the smooth tannic backbone and roses, more mineral, more savory. Really special.
