Salmon and red organic orange. Fine mousse, fresh clean nose of wild strawberries, vague orange, tiny tinge of overripe peach, all quite subdued. Again wild strawberry flavours, peck of tannic grip and acidity, the fine mousse carries it along. Nice and as this warms up the red apple and petals come out. Finish persists too, although notable this is a drier Champagne. Good quality.

A medium pink-orange color with a medium aromatic intensity.
Aromas of rose petals, red cherry, strawberries, raspberry, red apple, orange zest, marmalade, toasted almond, toast, brioche, and cream.
The palate is dry (slightly detectable sweetness, but still considered dry by most), with medium alcohol, high acidity, low tannins (pleasant and adding structure to the finish), and a medium- body.
Medium+ intensity flavors of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, red apple, bitter orange rind, marmalade, toasted almond, brioche, toast, and cream.
A long finish with depth and complexity.

New Years Day: Vrai Champagne, Seventh Annual Edition (Brad & Marcia's Place, St. Paul, MN): Tasting pour. That's two in a row now that have impressed me. The one we had at Bollinger in September impressed and this one even more. I think Joe's notes suggest this has some cellar age which would make sense. I found this very balanced with a good blend of chalk, fruit and yeast. An easy 92pts for me.

(NV BOLLINGER Rose) Champagne Dear Friends, Here's another offer that presented itself while I was in Italy - a pristine parcel of Bollinger's debut NV Rose' directly from the source. The power of the WA rears its head again with a drastic slash in price on this wine simply due to an 89 pt rating (it appears the other 90+ ratings from other sources are not important enough?). For me, this was too good of a price to pass up - ONE SHIPMENT ONLY at this price: NV Bollinger Rose' Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Champ8570
