I had expected this to fully "wow" me, but it wasn't nearly as big as it's showing several years ago. Has it already peaked? Will it reawaken? My best guess is that it is on the downside of life, and I had miscalculated on the drinking window.

A huge luscious meaty juicy Cabernet from Howell Mountain. That Appellation matures much later than most of Napa and the steep rocky slope seems to push a serious amount of flavour into the wines produced there. Chocolate, berries, tea and spice are very much apparent. This wine won't reach it's peak for another three or four years as can be readily discerned from the amount of tannins still trhiving, but it can be opened now for an exceptional experience. One of the best Cabs we've ever had.

WOTN, this one blew away the competition this evening. A beautiful, classic, rich Howell Mountain beauty.
