Black Salt Dinner (Black Salt restaurant - Washington DC): Again with the forest floor but this had even more of a pine needle thing going on. Firm acidity with no noticeable tannins, an elegant wine but I got little fruit but more of a leafy and unripe wild strawberry on the palate.

The nose is complex with aromas of raspberry, tobacco, wet wood, mushrooms, leather, dried fruit. On the palate, the wine is light and elegant, with a rather short, elegant finish. It is evident that it was not a great vintage for this wine.

Mature burgundy, underbrush, mushrooms, wet leaves. Quite nice attack on the palate, long finish. Drinks well.

Sweet raspberry, herbs, tea leaves and underbrush aromas. Rather lightweight on the palate, still good acidity and melted tannins.
