  Teeth staining only purple. Still youthful at age 17. Rusty bark and crushed black pepper. Massive palate with gorgeous complex cola and minerals. Very long resonant finish. Still mostly primary. This will go a very long time.

  Still has rich delicious fruit that seems to be mostly primary...raspberry jam (in flavor more than weight), mandarin orange, great structure- both acid and still a decent amount of tannin, not hot despite 15.9%. If this is past it's peak then it must have been some peak...I think it still has some great years left in it

  Not sure what this was like in its youth, but today it is showing all red fruit and medium+ acidity. Tannins are still present but in a good way. A lovely aged zin. Carlisle continues to impress
