Good. Softened over time. Leesy. Toasty apple. Some of the crisp apple has given way to secondary notes. This is very good right now and should drink well for several years.

Not quite what I remember it being on release when I devoured several bottles in a hurry. Soft and balanced but lacking the prior depth and charge. The cork was incredibly tight and stuck and I almost reached for a wrench before it finally broke free. Still... enjoyed by all four of us as a kick-off to a great night of wine.

This does keep getting better over the years. Over the four bottles I purchased in 2009, I have one left. This wine has a very pronounced presence. About 10 years on the lees, it tastes that it has been there. Very biscuity, there is little butter but rather a sharpness to the mouthfeel that I find nicely attractive.
