  • [Blind] Spectacular nose that is dynamic and highly complex. A detailed green herbaceous / minty character above the glowing gold fruit. Eucalypts and pine needle detail. Honey and bright honeydew. Layers of detail here, frequently changing. Good acid. Serious power and density. Mouth-coating. Some flint and faint reduction. Perfect bottle, brilliant showing.

  • From the same source as the previous bottle, individual OWC, decanted. Clearly more advanced than the last bottle but by no means undrinkable. Gold color, honey, yellow fruit, fresh with good acidity on the palate, if missing the details and drive of a good Montrachet (or what it should be); however, this is always the case with Lafon, and for people appreciative of the oxidative style it’s quite nice. 93-94

  • golden yellow colour, oxidised, and aroma of stone fruits and cooked fruits.

The concentration is not enough, but it is very broad. With the salty feeling, the finish is not very long. This bottle is BIG, but not powerful compare to the other bottles i drank last year.

  • This bottle need decant before drinking. In original wooden case. intense lemon gold color. Compare to few months ago, this bottle has significant oxidative character. Stone fruit, tropical fruits, mineral, even some earth, but still restrained. Finish is very salty and little bitter, like drinking sea water. After decant for 2 hour. more floral flavor is coming out, like drinking sea water with flower in it. Very good palate and structure, it's a strong white and full of energy. should give it more time.
