  • Ridiculous quality for under $20, this wine will crush many low-end amarone. From a small producer, imported by Regional Imports in Cincinnati, Ohio. Aromas that leap out and grab you, musky gardenia, dried cherry, chocolate ganache, pipe tobacco. Palate is dense and saturated but hails towards the traditional style with lots of bitter chocolate and dried cherry. Flavors of walnut skin, berry compote, and dried flowers swirl and evolve with air, finish is long and firm, with amaro like bitterness. Pick this up for sure, if you can find it. $18.99 The Party Source

  • Dark garnet. Nose of cherry, barnyard and licorice. Sweet ripe palate of cherry and raspberry with vibrant acidity, good length and minimal tannins. Very good quaffer and excellent QPR.
