A very interesting blend. In this vintage, it was 47% Zin, 47% Carignane and 6% Petite Sirah. Only 43 barrels produced. It is clear, garnet, medium plus in intensity. It is dry, with medium acidity and tannins. The alcohol is medium at 14.6% and very well integrated. Overall, this was very elegant and balanced and amazingly rich despite its age, with aromas and flavors of black fruit, red fruit and tea. My guess is the Carignane really helps balance out the Zin. Drink now, I don't think it will improve with any further ageing.
