Surprisingly quality given the vintage. I found this just a touch behind the superb 06 in terms of quality and ahead of the 04/08. 2009 & 2010 ruled the bunch in a 2004-2013 vertical

Condrieus and Côte-Rôties of North London (Must & Lees): Served fully blind. Who knows if that's why, but although a very good wine it didn't wow like a bottle from the same vintage did a couple of years ago. Lots of olive brine and other savoury notes on nicely evolved, smoothly integrated nose. Both red and dark fruit on the palate, which had a sleek texture, some savoury elements and good length. The group voted this the #3 red tonight.

Condrieu and Cote Rotie; 9/28/2023-10/28/2023 (Must and Lees, N1): Incredible nose. Olive and meat, really beautiful. Still quite a lively bottle despite the age, and this kind of elegance is only achievable by the best wine-makers. Really great, however the QPR ship sailed quite a few years ago and I missed it....

Condrieu and Cote Rotie (Must & Lees, N1): A spicy, slightly woody nose with Bovril, green chilli and dark fruit. Really clean on the palate with inner richness and quite incredible length.

Bloody, bloody blackberry soars aromatically as a prelude to dense black fruit, light and bright on the palate. Long finish. Very good indeed.
