Last was almost 5yrs ago. With plenty of air this is rocking now. On opening this was closed and nearly fruitless but with 4 hours slow oxed in 2 burg glasses and btl this fleshed out beautifully! Increasingly, I find myself wondering how many btls get panned because they didn’t get the air needed or they were served too warm Or served in the wrong glass? I’m retired so I have the luxury of giving almost every bottle the air and temp it needs to excel. Loved this tonight! One left that Ill revisit around 2027.

Flowing, silky, creamy, seamless, effortless elegance, mild tannins, fresh and perfectly balanced, crushed red berries, lovely nutty evolution, just the right touch of nervosité, perhaps slightly short on the finish. A dreamy wine. At restaurant De Lage Vuursche, Lage Vuursche, NL.

Undrinkably bad, stewed and sour. What the hell happened here?

WCC West Coast Pinot Noir (Fort Orange Club, Albany, NY): Dirty, sour. Clearly an off bottle.

Either this bottle or my palate was in a weird place. Dark, tannic, fruit seemed pruney. Not like the other 07 d'Angervilles I've had.
