Like many 2007s this was a pleasure to drink. High toned cherries and underbrush. Very forward, silky and delicious but lacking complexity and depth. Pretty nose but not much of a finish. Enjoy and drink up in the next couple years.

From half bottle at le caveau des Arches in Beaune. The best red we had on our trip to Burgundy. Velvet in your mouth. Refreshing acidity. Light tobacco, darkish fruits, just a lovely balanced wine. This is a little more evidence that the 07s are better than the critics made them out to be, at least in my taste.

(Arnoux Robert Vosne-Romanée Les Hautes Maizières) The nose shows some higher tones and herbal elements underpinned qwith pretty fruit. More concentrated and showing finer tannin than the 'Vosne', though much less tasty today. Again, very well crafted and no obvious oak.
