Dinner of Bordeaux 2nd Labels (Maria's place - Miro): Medium ruby, and quite some extraction. Some mint and grass on the nose, as well as red and black cherry feels. Tight tannins and mouthwatering acids, and a lot of savoury flavours, along with bright berries and cloves, as well as mint. Medium finish

Despite the producer and appellation, this is ready to drink. Oaky nose, medium-light dry cherry and leather palate, fishing with some dusty but very smooth tannins and medium-short length. You always hope a second label can approach the producers first, but as a Pontet-Canet fan, this doesn't even come close. Still, a very nice wine to drink when you don't want to realize the cost of the first label and still have that Bordeaux experience.

Lots of Bordeaux with Dan G for Public TV; 11/6/2011-11/7/2011 (WVIZ World Series of Wine Seminar): Some people seemed to really like this wine. I thought it was a fine wine for what it is. Very accessible right now for fun drinking. I do not know the price though. Purple in color. The nose is thinner with a candied cherry meets green bell pepper note. Fuller on the palate with cassis and candy apple coating. Mild tannins. Nice finish. A fun enough wine.

Really rather lovely on the nose. Spicy, classic Pauillac; Medium weight, elegant with good flavour. Probably GV.
