Cigar wrapper dipped in mexican drinking chocolate. There's a concord grapiness that morphs into blackberry, cherry cordial, cacao, faintly loamy/earth as well. Acid drives through on the finish while the modest alcohol recedes. Delightful.

Very much alive. Dense black & dark red fruits on the nose; touch of earth/savory tone there as well. Dates, craisins, and some sweetness on the palate. Nice texture. Sweet & mid-lengthed finish. Fun for dessert.

Initial whiff of VA but it blew off quickly and there was essence (yes) of crushed raspberries with a touch of vanilla and dark chocolate. This is fun stuff. Not as concentrated as a vintage Port, but holding some of the same forward fruity and chocolate notes as a young one. Good acidity and some drying tannins, and there's so much fruit that this has a long and promising future. Too bad I only have one bottle left.

Rich, grapey and spicey. Not overly sweet, which I liked, and not flabby. Noticable oak, but lusciously ripe fruit to balance the sweet oak influence. A guilty pleasure, but very enjoyable. Fun wine, but I personally would not pair this with a dessert.

Very nice, no detailed note as this was our sixth bottle on the night. But very good, long future ahead, great with chocolate mousse cake.
