Some basic Pinot aromatics on the darker side, but utterly unexpressive. Tannins firm and a little drying still. Good acidity and mouthfeel. Tannins failed to really quiet down and resolve over a day open, and the aromas never evolved beyond the slightly tart and clipped black fruit. No off aromas. Well stored bittle.
This was a sound bottle of a thoroughly mediocre wine, where the tannins of the year eclipsed the fruit. If you have these, give them away as gifts to people who don’t care about wine.

Med garnet turning brown Nose of smoke, cedar, leather. Nose of complex, strawberry jam. Spices. Cinnamon, oak spice. Med+ acidity, med body and med tannins (surprising for a Pinot) Flavours of red fruit, strawberry, cherry, dark ripe raspberry, leather and spice. Good balance, great length, good intensity, great complexity. (Tasted blind and didn't pick Pinot, thought syrah and Rhone)

Popped and poured. Ruby color, no sign of age. Beautiful red cherry fruit, very floral and maybe just a touch earthy. The palate is lively, medium acid and saline infused with a cranberry flavor profile and a clenched and drying finish.

This was probably a lot better five years ago. Some mushroom, earth on the nose, but not much else going on.

Not much going on. Tastes like a village burgundy. Mix of red/black fruit. Dark in color, middleweight, lacks persistence, though the acidity is good.
