Patio Party Summer Solstice June 2015: Really outstanding and a bit of a surprise to me because this isn't a particularly esteemed domaine as far as I know. Hit just the right spot for me with impeccable balance, well delineated fruits (dark and red berries), lively acidity, a distinctive finish of tobacco and herbs, and some complexity afforded by time in bottle.
There are many notes already for this wine so not a lot to add. I definitely get that whole cherry kirsch thing (or cherry cough drop as someone mentioned but that is less complimentary in my view). Overall we enjoyed this wine very much. Also have a 2010 in the cellar but that will have to wait a few more years.
Couldn't wait any longer, so pulled this from cellar last night. Cherry, dark & red berry, coffee, and smoke aromas and flavors. Delicious and smooth, with just a bit of heat -- well integrated. Seems like it will be even better in next few years. I wish I had more than one left.
