Lovely nose of grilled meat, barnyard and a bit of licorice/dark fruit. The palate doesn't impress quite as much, but is still good - dark fruit, minerality, a bit of earth with medium acidity, medium integrated tannins and a lingering sour cherry finish.

This is a very nice, well made btl of S French red. It was fruit forward (as expected) and did have some nice floral and spice notes that transported me to the Languedoc. Having said that, I was expecting a bit more on the nose and I was not blown away by this in general. I would say that it wasn't until my last glass (after about 2 hours in the decanter) that it started coming alive, so I may simply need to revisit and give it more time. The tannins are quite integrated and this is drinking just fine now. I suspect it will hold 5+ years but this is not a long term wine.

Cola, cedar, bramble, some dark fruit. Maybe i should have drank this younger (for my tastes) but I remain unimpressed by wines of the Languedoc.
