  • Winemaker's dinner with Chris Tynan and Robert Hunt. Very interesting wines, including this special Petite Sirah from 1967, Araujo from 1995, Champagne (forgot the label - will add later), and Anderson's Conn Valley Signature from 2016.

The Souverain Petite Sirah was the highlight of the night. The label was retro, the bottle was green, and some of it had evaporated. I had my doubts and Chris was making fun of me, but I trusted what Chris was doing and boy was he right! Once opened and poured, it was just fantastic! 51 years old and still drinking nicely. Crimson coloring, smelling nicely and nothing "stinky" about this wine, and no decant needed. Special night paired with special wines and great new friends!
