Decanted a beautiful golden orange. Cork in good shape; just a bit of a crumble at bottom. Decanted for air and within ten minutes was a beautiful, honeyed slightly peachy scroll across my tongue. Perfect balance and totally delicious as I sipped it over four hours. Yum.
Purchased upon release and properly stored.

Tickle me Riesling! As if I don’t have enough Wine A.D.D. in my life already 🤦♂️ Not a great deal of experience with Riesling, but I may need to begin dividing my attention.
This was a sexy, steely Auslese. Golden in color with vivid acidity and a gorgeous lush mouthfeel. Juicy melon and mango accompanied by brown spices and vanilla. There is a subtle creaminess on a pleasantly dryer than expected finish. This is gorgeous!

Golden colour, still without orange or amber hints. At this stage this is, if stored perfectly since release, all about pure concentrated fruit (predominantly mango), in unsane force, yet light on its feed. As almost all Auslese at this age it feels nearly dry on the palate. This should work well with deer e.g. Simply great and sadly unrivaled by his successors. 5/13/18/10 If it would get more complexity in the next decades, it could even get a higher score. -2040+ in a cool cellar and if the cork is renewed.

Dinner at Jade Court (Chicago, IL): This is showing really well, and for my palate, is probably around the very long peak. It's definitely got that blue-cheese-Wehlener-Sonnenuhr funk, and there's ample fruit to counterbalance the 1990 acids. It's not a large-scaled wine, but this is very ripe and well-balanced overall.
