A fairly exotic and outgoing bouquet, offering up notes of very ripe white fruits, butter, crushed stones and oyster. Quite lush and hedonistic on the palate, with much more of a buttery component than I was expecting. Great depth and expansiveness, with a long and flavorful finish. Drinking perfectly at present!

Peaches, apriciots, honeycomb, honeysuckle, vanilla, dandelions, sunshine, enticing nose; full, rich, succulent, deeply absorbing, surprisingly showing some age and layered, very very long finish, magisterial, truly lovely

France 2013 - Côte d'Or; 4/24/2013-4/26/2013 (Beaune): Tasted at the Domaine. Served blind. This had a huge nose of orchard fruits, honey and a hint of vanilla, but also a fairly strong note of caramel. Weighty and mouth coating on the palate with great length and tension on the palate. Based on the nose this seems like it has quite a bit of age on it, but the palate is quite fresh. When this was revealed as ’08 Montrachet I almost shit myself. Sad to see such a great wine already advanced.
