Pours slightly cloudy dark garnet with bricking on the edges. Aroma of cherry and violets. The palate is evolved, with cherry fruit, raspberry, with a strong component of team, earth and sous bois. Tannis are fully resolved. Drink now.

First night was tight, strong tannis that were over powering the fruit. Second day (after under vacuum) much improved. The more typical Chambolle fruits coming through, raspberry and blackberry. Still some tannins present though. Definitely showing age in color though with red brick around the edges.
Burghound has drink at 2014+ after a 2010 bottle tasting. If you drink this in the next two years, it will likely need decanting. That being said, the drinking window will be tight...once the tannins mellow, there is not a ton of fruits so I don't see this wine developing for the long haul.
I have two bottles left, I am looking forward to trying one in 18-24 months to compare notes.

Brilliant, even more so than most wines. Brick red moving away from the rim. Drink now. High tones of tart cherry on the nose. Balanced taste with round fine grained tannins as the fruit emerged on the second day. A more masculine style. Great balance on a short finish. Wonderful with cog a vin.
Clear, pale garnet color. Clean aromas, medium+ intensity. Secondary notes of fig jam, mulled spice, turned earth and cut roses- developing. Dry on the palate with medium+ acid, medium tannins, medium alcohol and body. Fine and silky throughout with notes of fig, tea leaf, limestone minerality, eastern spice and violets. Elegant and finesse-driven but plenty of richness. Bright with polished tannins and moderate-long length on the finish. Showing well right now.

Pop thru aerator. Nice. But a little sharp on the finish.
