This is a delightful Village Vosne that was drinking beautifully after about an hour or so of air with an abundance of rich, earthy, penetrating dark red fruit, lots of Vosne spice, sous bois and anise on the midlength finish. To my tastes this is in a perfect place right now and is delivering well above its level.

Double decanted for 3-4 hours and this was drinking beautifully with really good depth and concentration for its level. There's lots of dark fruit, Vosne spice, earth and somewhat fine tannins on the longish finish. All in all, quite nice and drinking really well.

Have worked through 4 bottles of a half case by now, I have refrained from writing a TN as I was puzzled by the showing of the first 3 bottles, asking myself if Christophe really understands Vosnee. There is certainly alot of sulphur upon opening, which never really recedes fully, and a high acid level. Very firm wine, unlike P-M Chambolle Musignys, not as sensual and seductive. Plenty of allspice, clove, baking powder, juicy black liquorice, and pepper. If there is fruit, it is black cherry with pits putting in a showing between the teeth. Cold, slippery, slimy stone whisking the mid-palate into a nice, long, even symphonic ending. Not a forthcoming wine, but certainly provocative in a withdrawn, self-effacing, genteel manner. Gains length on top of protein. Can inspire alot of profound meditation, in a sort of melancholy direction.

Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. SO2 to start. Black cherry nose and palate with licorice, allspice and clove. Firm in middle, acid drives the finish.

Beautiful dark ruby colour. Nose of Vosne spice, oak and cold stones. Very giving in the mouth. Very fruity and with fine acidity. Suprisingly good!
