Cork is half moistened, together with a vividly deep color indicating this will have much more years of life ahead. For now, well accented and port like nose, generous, balanced, some minerality, finishing long on sweet fruit, plums and even raspberry. Enjoy now and for next decade...

Goodbye tasting for Michael (Michaels appartment): Dark red color with an orange hue. The nose has started showing some maturity, interwoven, complex notes of earth, crushed berries, raspberry, anise, licorice and mint. On the palate it is lively and juicy with good intense fruit, ripe cherries, blackcurrants and raspberries, followed by mint, tea leaves and licorice on the midpalate and finish. Rustic notes, but this seems caught at the perfect time maturity-wise with perfectly ripe tannins and a velvety texture.

Interesting character with a bit of briar pipe and molasses elements. A bit of brine and dirt. A good grip. Certainly enjoyable, but the wine gave an overall impression of being really tired - not old or mistreated, but tired from the very grapes themselves. Good elements here say to try another bottle.

This was a tough one to rate. I think if you gave it to someone who doesn't drink much they wouldn't think twice about it, but there's a lot going on here. It's put together extremely well. Big in the front yet a certain overall subtlety. Reminded me of a Languedoc Roussillon (not surprisingly). Mineral aromas of clay with hints of licorice and caramel, and notes of meat and tobacco that I always seem to find in grape types of SW France. Finished the slightest bit hot. Will benefit from some additional cellaring.
