While not particularly complex, this is a deliciously full bodied cherry with strong, lasting fruit texture hanging onto the tannins like some sort of flavor net. Each quaff an immersion into Trader Joe's dried cranberries which are great, if you've ever tried 'em. Acidity that made my homemade Caesar salad come alive. Even, lasting finish.
Just love that this bottle aged so well. If you still have a bottle, this is the moment. This tasting made me go back to see what cellartracker had to say about the year 2002 in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys... well, what do you know, 2002 was a great year there for reds.
Go look... if you've got a 2002 Zinfandel, open it and enjoy.

Nose of overripe red fruits, cherry. Thick legs.

Drank very well, not as fruity as prior bottles but the right tannins and structure that matched up well with Thanksgiving dinner.
