Popped and poured, but I think I should have decanted for an hour or so. Fairly dense, as is to be expected from a Paso nebbiolo. A whiff of VA upon opening had me worried, but it subsided over half an hour or so in the glass. Black cherry fruit and a touch of cranberry tartness with some nice mushroomy and cedary notes. The 15.9% alcohol is surprisingly well hidden on the palate, but still noticeable.

Vibrant and electric fragrances of fresh picked red fruit and spice aromas, with a ruby ring color. A well made Paso Nebbiolo boasting ripe red currant and wild strawberry notes. A layered wine offering dates and fig midpalate. At a good drinking point as the flavors are well integrated with refined tannins. Long, rich aftertaste and finish. Drink now into next year. Lone Madrone tasting room - Paso Robles Harvest Festival.

Garnet color. Blackberry nose. Tastes of blackberry, currant, cherry, strawberry, and cedar. Firm tannins. Well balanced. Rich finish.
