Popped and poured. Pale straw colour. Smoke, charred wood, brown sugar and green apples on the nose. The oak is balanced nicely with fresh minerality and zingy acidity on the palate. Decent concentration and length. All in all an enjoyable wine – very Burgundian in style but since it’s a St. Romain and not a Mersault, Chassagne or Puligny the price won’t bust your budget.
