  • Was a little grumpy and shy. There were some ground spices, soy and dark fruits. Under the waves of creaminess is a core of mineral and it has a whip of tart cranberry to the finish

Fyldig, men elegant. Lang, så lang ettersmak, med hint av smør, og en deilig bærsødme. Nydelig, rik, og elegant vin.

  • The normal green nose that very often is the case with DRC´s Richebourg but in the mouth there is an explosion of lovely Vosne spices and blue and red fruit. Very Richebourg like with its soft almost velvet structure. A lot of power though. Great length. Big wine.

  • DRC 2009 tasting (Operakällaren, Stockholm): Medium red colour. Dark and some red berries, noticeable minerality, some mint, discrete liquorice notes with hints of tar and animal notes, a touch of herbal character. Initially a closed nose that hints at hidden power, but it grew in the glass and then also showed more toasted oak barrel notes. Dark berries on the palate, some sweetness of fruit in the attack, very mineral mid-palate, powerful but well integrated tannin. Definitely young, great potential, 94+

Today, Richebourg 09 is a little more “difficult” than DRC Romanée-Saint-Vivant 09, but it could possibly have greater potential for development.

  • Tasted at the DRC tasting against the rest of the 2009 line up.
The color is deep and dark.
On the nose its green and have some (allot) of smoke tones.
The taste is long, deep and powerful, with generous & ripe dark fruits.
The wine is incredibly soft but yet deep and complex, and the taste just goes on and on forever.
It has a certain dignified coolness to the deep taste that I have not experienced before.
It does have a bit of stalk taste present, but this just ads and extra and interesting layer to it.
A brilliant wine that will develop into something even bigger!
