what a bust. hot and unidimensional. probably the worst wine all things considered that i've bought from garagiste. i simple adore the baumard savinierres but i will never again buy another red from them.

This was delicious and went very well with a seafood paella. Medium bodied, juicy with lots of crisp currant acidity, nice cherry fruit on the long finish. This is an excellent food wine just the right balance.

(13.5% vol) Spice and wood on the nose; "frisky" tannins; toast, tabacco, and cardamon(?) on the finish -- there was a spritely, almost effervesent, sensation on the finish that reminded me of a cola. (Day 2) Having tasted the wine after tasting a Sancerre (A. Mellot "La Moussiere"; 2006; 13%), the Folie did seem a bit "brutish" in comparison; however, when tasted along side a Visan (Les Vins de Vienne; 2004; 14.5%), the Folie showed more finesse and a distinct individuality. This was my last bottle and I think that I would prefer drinking this wine slightly chilled and during a warmer season of the year.
