I'm surprised to see that my previous bottle of this was drunk as long ago as 2017. It has not changed very much compared with my memory and TN of that bottle other than it the way of extra suavity and better integration of the cedar notes from the élevage. It is still an exemplar of a warm and generous vintage showing quite dark colour and open nose with aromas of of sweet red and dark fruit with faint hints of cedar. It was full/medium bodied on the palate with rich fruit enlivened by a touch of Médocain noble greenness, it replayed the aromas from the nose and showed decent depth, suave texture and appealing acidity with firm ripe tannins on the finish. Very good.

37,5 cl bottle, PnP and enjoyed over 3 hours. Intense nose with sweet dark fruit, leather and forest floor. On the palate spicy and full bodied, medium acidity, slightly rustic tannin, finish is long with a hint of heat. Evolved a lot within the last 3 years and enters the fully matured phase. Classical Médoc from a warm vintage, best with classical dishes e.g. gratin dauphinois with a piece of beef. Small formats should be consumed within the next 3 to 4 years, bigger formats will easily last until 2030 if correctly stored.

This was really showing its colours last night. Lovely nose of cassis, raspberry and pencil shavings. Clean, rounded palate of blackcurrant and ripe red berries with smooth tannins and fresh acidity. Lovely leathery, spiced plum finish. This is really coming into it's own and I'm annoyed I didn't buy more back in the day!

Beautiful St Estephe. Lovely aged hues showing through a ruby background suggestion this is nowhere at end of life - as it should be! Notes of dark black berry with forrest floor mushroom and oak waft into the nose. The palate releases a still strong acidity and softened tannins with leather, cigar box and good black fruits to complement. This wine is still not done with life. Maybe 3 to 5 years remaining. Enjoy it!
