Hey, seriously!? Brazilian Merlot? We, of course, were sceptical but at the price, we felt compelled to try. Let's hear it for curiosity because it did not kill the cat, but it did foster an interest in trying more wines from Brazil. Dark, purplish-red. Dark, black cherries and blackberries sufficiently ripened. Medium to full-bodied with nice structure, enticing tannins and an elegant finish. Definitely worthy of sipping at that QPR!

At first opening, that typical cow manure. Let breathe for 1 hr and we are now getting a wine a lot more approachable. Plums, cranberries and raspberries. Very smooth. Very balanced. Could have a touch more concentration (to be really exceptional). But it is still very good. That "amazing fruit juice" lingers for a good long time. Very good! For sure not "the best merlot in the world" as some wine illiterate may say, but good enough to make me, a gaucho, proud!
