Pop & pour. Not the style of Chambolle I gush over but still very good Burgundy. Ripe lush fruit, spice intriguing nose and a bit of a somewhat short finish.Vey niuce Burg but not worth the $63 I paid. Better value if it was $40 or less per.
Earthy nose with some rust and musty notes. Blew off mostly to reveal dark fruits and moss. Good body, sappy fruits with a spice note. Not very precise. Over some hours, more Chambolle violet and earth peeked out. Solid, definitely enjoyable, but still more Dujac-y. Well matched with rack of lamb and curry-spiced cauliflower.
Post Insignia Dinner at Siggy's: This showed much better than both bottles of the Vogue Chambolle-Musigny. A gorgeous nose of dark fruit, asian spice, and earth. Excellent. The taste delivered equally well with great weight and good balance. A very enjoyable bottle of wine.
