  • Too lean for me, showing little development in the cellar. Tasted blind with wine pros, this presented like a very strict Cru Beaujolais.
No particular flaws, but nothing captured my interest either.

  • Popped and poured over an hour some funk at first which gives way to a very nice floral and brambly red fruited nose with some earthiness and what I think people term sous bois, flavors are of bramble hint of cranberry some cherry, not tannic, not really acidic, long finish. Very nice mixture of primary and tertiary an excellent wine! Drink up if you can find one it seems like the Ponsot village wines are the hardest to find.

  • A lot better than the previous bottle. More dark berries, spices and grip. The wine was holding up very well over the meal, not at all fading as the last bottle. In a nice place and probably at peak, given a good cork. Life is a lottery..

  • After four or five bottles, I come across my last one. I could buy more…but it would cost 4x my original price. Alas, this one finally seemed a bit tired…fruit running out of steam and not enough bones under the hood to really entice or provide for secondary notes. This was a great vintage and perhaps its just an off bottle but this seems like it’s leaving the station.

  • I'd say this is the most consistent village wine I've ever had but it keeps improving with age. I expected 2009 to shine bright and early with its fruit forward character but this is holding its fruit and exhibiting nice secondary notes and a nice long depth. Ripe strawberries...definitely tastes of Gevrey (not my favorite village!) but this bottle keeps delivering. I have one more left. This is probably my fifth bottle.
