This is much more like a dessert wine than like a port. Lots of fruit, almost sweet, doesn't have the smoothness you get from a good vintage port. Actually improved after we left it alone for a month after it was about half gone, but still falls short of a good port.

Outstanding port. Smooth, balanced, not too sweet, perfect pairing for dark chocolate. Hides the 20% alcohol incredibly well. What a great wine. Highly recommended. Unfortunately, it is only sold at the winery.

Honeymoon Wine Tasting; 6/25/2012-7/3/2012 (California - Napa & Sonoma Counties): Tasted at Winery. Aromas of prune and raisin. Quite sweet without much body, but was still super smooth and paired incredibly well with the chocolate's provided at the tasting.
