Premier nez délicieusement beurré et boisé; intense. Puis craie, pamplemousse, citron vert. Bouche ciselée, minérale, acidité très présente à la limite acerbe, ce qui enlève beaucoup à l'équilibre. Bonne longueur.

This was excellent and potentially deserving of a higher score in a few years. This wine seemed restrained and leaner in style which may be because of the vintage or maybe because it is just too young. Today it is filled with salty oyster shell and citrus and is a very intense wine even after time in the glass. As my husband said “this is why we drink Chablis “. I am glad to have more of these because I think it will improve.

Bourgogne visit 29/10-1/11-2023: Not even close to Raveneau Monts Mains 2016 which is only 1. cru and which I rated 93. Let me stress according to my taste. Fevre is a more stringent style than Raveneau's fuller bodied style. No further tasting notes taken.

My best bottle of this yet, though all have been outstanding. All of the marine salinity, crushed seashells, tart apple and hint of lime; great viscosity and extract; brisk though perfectly measured acidity holds it all together and carries to a splendidly impactful finish. Great stuff and will easily hold another 3-5 years.

Steely on the nose, rich and round on the palate.
Medium lemon colour.
Pronounced aromas struck match, hay, smoke, all spice, toasted almond, yogurt, crisp yellow apple, pear, white peach, pomello, pink grapefruit, oyster shell, sea foam.
Pronounced palate.
Medium (+) body, high acidity, long finish.
