Rich ripe apricot, sweet peaches, and caramel . It is dense and sweet but slightly balanced with good acidity..overall quite dense structure. Probably still quite young to consume, offering long ageing potential ahead. In 1993 the 33 hectare estate was bought by a Spanish consortium headed by owner of Vega Sicilia.
https://www.bowlerwine.com/producer/oremus “The vineyards at Oremus are mostly on hillsides that rise steeply above the village of Tolcsva in the heart of the Tokaj-Hegyalja appellation. They are close enough to the Bodrog River to benefit from the particular climatic conditions that generate noble rot. All the Oremus vineyards are classified ‘First Growth’, according to the historic Szirmay classification of 1803. The cellars themselves are found under the village Tolcsva, in a labyrinth of hand-hewn cellars dating back to the 12th century.”

Vin tranquille blanc de couleur or orangé clair.

Nose: Clean nose with a pronounced intensity. This wine is developed.
Hugely aromatic wine. Dried Apricot and Orange at the fore with honey, vanilla and marmalade blending to create a real ensemble. Very pleasant and complex.
Palate: Sweet Alcohol: Medium Acidity: High Body: Medium+ Intensity: Pronounced Finish: Long finish
On the palate this wine opens up even further, expressing toffee and caramel on top of the dried Apricot, Orange and even banana. Honey and baked fruits compliment to create a wine with real beauty and a long, long finish.
Outstanding quality. Despite being fully developed you could potentially age this wine, although I couldn't say whether it would improve it. Definitely ready to be drunk now. Premium priced Hungarian Tokaji.

Sweeter than the 2000 but not the same elegance. A llttle bit oxidative, perhaps bottle variation.

Wow. Great wine. Intense flavors of dried fruits date, apricot, raisin, banana. Sweetness not very strong, a little acidity - perfectly balanced.
